Rev. Miller resumes his summer sermon series "10 Kings" this morning with a look at King Ahab. It is hoped that by examining these kings, their triumphs and tragedies, we can enrich our lives and deepen our faiths.
During the summer months, Children's Sunday School will be held during the 8:30am service. Chldren's Church will continue to be at 10:45am.
Our friends in blue with the Fenwick Island Police Department suggest that when leaving church everyone turn right at the traffic signal at Dagsboro St. Those heading for Bethany Beach and points beyond can them flip a U turn and continue on their way. Following this suggetion when an officer is not present to direct traffic will help insure that all of us will arrive at our destinations a lot sooner.
The summer Gospel Concerts continue this evening with The Beroans. The concert begins at 7pm. There's no admission charge, but a free willl offering will be taken.
Following the concert, everyone is invited to Hocker's Grocery & Deli for a free ice cream sundae. While there, you'll be able to donate to the Justin Lowe fund. Justin is the Indian River senior who recently suffered a broken neck in a surfing accident. Enjoy the ice cream and support a good cause.
The Prayer Group never takes the summer off. You'll find them every Monday morning at 9am in the Baker Parlor. Add your prayers to those of the Prayer Group.
TheChristmas in July dinner for International Students will be today from 4pm until 7pm. Bring a wrapped Christmas figt suitable for a young man or woman. We need volunteer servers. If you would like to crpool, meet at the church at 3pm. Dinner is at Holy Savior Catholic Church, 17th & Ocean Highway, in Ocean City. Our Samaritan Thrift Shop on Route #54 will hold its second annual yard sale in the parking lot of Bayside Chapel on Saturday, August 7 from 8am until noon.
