Our Checkerboard Ministry to a special needs citizens invites all of us to attend their Mardi Gras Party here at the church this afternoon from 2pm until 5pm. Come for an afternoon of fun.
The Prayer Group meets faithfully on Monday mornings at 9am in the Baker Parlor. Add your prayers to those of the group.
The Crafts Group has resumed meeting on Tuesdays at 9am. Here's a perfect outlet for your creative juices. Come and join our group!
The Quilters will get together in Clendaniel Hall tomorrow at 10am to contInue their beautiful ministry of creating warm quilts for those who are sick and feeling lonely. Bring a covered dish for the noon lunch break.
Next Sunday is "Souper Bowl Sunday". When you come to worship, could you remember to bring a can of soup with you? Alll donations will go to the Pyle Center to help them feed our friends in the community who would otherwise go without. (And Go Giants!).
The newly constituted Missions Committee will have its first meting of the year on Tuesday, February 7 at 10am in the Meeting Room. Chairperson Mary Anne van Arsdale urges everyone who a heart for and interest in local, national, and international missions to attend.
The Annual Single Seniors Birthday Party will be held at the Brandywine Assisted Living facility on Route #54 on Monday, February 13 from 12 - 3 pm. The cost is $10. Please bring two small wrapped gifts to exchange. Call Helen Nappier (436-0135) by February 8 to let her know you're coming.
Sign up today to provide flowers for our worship services in 2012 in honor or in memory of a loved one. The cost is $20 per arrangement. The flower book is located on the wall in the narthex.
The Red Bird Mission Team wants to remind everyone that we are continuing to collect labels and pop tops which are then redeemed for cash that goes to support the folks at Red Bird. Ruth and Charlie Sheaffer have taken over supervision of the project. Direct your questions to them at 539-3269.
Those of you participating in the FEED Project are asked to empty your coin boxes sometime this month. Count what you've collected and write a check to SMBTS for the amount. Note your offering envelope number on your check and add the letters "SOSA". If you did not get a box, you can still write a check to this ministry. Remember, you are helping to feed hungry Americans.
