Good Wednesday Morning to you! What a marvelous Easter/Resurrection Sunday we just celebrated. After a difficult year (remember last Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday we were closed due to covid 19!) and after a time of fasting, and praying, and seeking the Lord during Lent, it was a blessing to see folks gathered together to celebrate Jesus’ victory over hell, death, and the grave! Amen! Well, this got me thinking… yep, there I go thinking again.
I believe God ministered grace to me this Lenten Season. I was successfully able to keep “most” of my Lenten obligations. It is a good thing to set spiritual and physical goals; to at least attempt to get closer to the Lord in mind, body, and spirit. But now what?
This week, now that Lent is passed, I sort of felt, well, glad that’s over! But I have begun to realize that I should not just stop these new-found ways of connecting with my Lord. So, I am re-dedicating myself to continue in these devotions. I ask you to prayerfully consider the same, not so others will know, but so we will be reminded that, “The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and for evermore.” (Psalm 121:7-8).
