Wednesday’s Word

Wednesday Morning, and I’m still thinking back to last Sunday.  What a Blessing you gave Ann and I!  Sunday we received many wonderful cards with notes of blessing and appreciation.  You also gave a beautiful arrangement of flowers for Ann; for me a tie, pocket square, and matching face mask, and a Duncan Donut gift card (I’ll share with Ann!)  ((Honest!!)).  We will always remember your love and encouragement.

Recently, in our Disciple Bible Study, we looked at some of the Apostle Paul’s greetings when he started his letters.  As I think about Saint Matthews by-the-Sea, I totally relate to the Apostle Paul.  When he addressed the Philippians, he wrote:

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”  (Philippians 1:3-6).

God Bless You! and Thank You for your kindness on this recent Pastor Appreciation Sunday.

Blessings!

Pastor Mike (and Ann)
